Root - The River Company is an expansion for the asymmetric board game Root, introducing two new factions to the four already present in the base game: the River Merchants and the Cult of the Lizard. In addition to increasing the maximum player count to six, these new characters offer completely different gameplay experiences, destabilizing the balance of the base game's factions with increasingly innovative and engaging mechanics. You'll also find a cooperative game mode that allows you to play alone or with up to six players.

Root continues the tradition of asymmetrical games from the acclaimed Leder Games. In this adventure, you'll have the opportunity to play as one of the animal factions vying for dominance of a valley populated by unique creatures. Each faction offers a unique gameplay experience, both in terms of the actions available and the methods of victory.
