Root: The Roleplaying Game – Travelers & Outsiders is a supplement for Root: The RPG that expands the narrative and strategic possibilities of the celebrated fantasy tabletop role-playing game set in the Woodlands. New characters, new factions, and new mechanics enter the scene as the war continues to rage and increasingly ambitious powers seek to gain influence, riches, and control over the clearings.

This manual expands the vagabonds' adventures by introducing four iconic factions from the Root universe: the Riverfolk Company, with its merchant ships and trade along the waterways; the Lizard Cult, ready to spread its cult and recruit new proselytes; the Grand Duchy of the Underground, digging tunnels to expand its dominion; and the Corvid Conspiracy, a master of intrigues, plots, and deceptions.

With Travelers & Outsiders, you can enrich your Root: The Roleplaying Game campaigns thanks to ten new playbooks, designed to portray new types of vagabonds such as the Pirate, the Raider, the Heretic, the Bard, and many others. The supplement also introduces new weapon skills, rogue moves, natures, drives, tags, and pre-generated equipment, offering even more tools to create memorable characters and adventures rich in choices.

The new faction mechanics make the Woodlands more alive and dynamic, with control over clearings, building construction, and plot development influencing the balance of the territory. The manual also includes two new clearings, Heartwood and Dewdrop Dale, both designed to bring to life adventures linked to the conflicts between the new factions.
