Moon River

Board game in Italian. Duration: 45min Players: 2-4 Age: 8+

You have just acquired the land along the banks of the Moon River. Your task will be to carefully explore it to discover the most fertile areas, so as to exploit its resources and grow your herd. Will you be able to best organize your ranch, despite the difficulties of the drought and the competition from other ranchers?

In Moon River , you will have to build your ranch starting from the river, using tiles to expand the territory. Unlike Kingdomino , from which it inherits the game system, here you do not use classic domino tiles, but half tiles with puzzle-style interlocking pieces. By joining two of these pieces, you will form your domino tiles to place in your territory.

During your shift:

1. Take the Plot tile where you placed your Ranchero and move it to your Reserve board, which can hold up to 3 tiles;

2. You can expand your ranch by adding a Domino tile (consisting of 2 plots) respecting the connection rules;

3. Choose a new plot and place your Ranchero on it for the next turn.

Some plots display symbols that activate special actions. Cows allow you to add a cow, skulls remove already placed cows, while circles bring into play associates with unique powers (such as moving cows, exchanging plots with an opponent or stealing a cow) and that give points at the end of the game.

The game ends when the Plot tiles run out. The winner is the player with the most points thanks to the territories conquered, the resources accumulated and the members involved.

There is also an advanced mode that uses the back of the Reserve boards. In this variant, you will get extra points if you manage to meet the specific requirements of the scenario in play. The rules also include a version designed for 2 players.
