The Stone – Wet Palette Sponge

Highly absorbent wet palette sponge made by the Italian fine arts company Borciani & Bonazzi. For use in painting and modeling.

Holds liquid up to 15 times its weight, without dripping. "La Pietra" Borciani e Bonazzi is used wet and has a great water and color hold. Indispensable for the best performance with acrylic colors.

To control, dose and modulate the brush stroke when using all diluted techniques, this special and indispensable accessory helps to avoid the transfer of excessive quantities of water and colour onto paper or any support, avoiding errors, smudges and unwanted stains on your work.

Dense and porous material, maximum retention capacity. A hi-tech material at the service of your favorite artistic technique, try it with watercolor and also to quickly remove areas of color from your palette, for quick, impromptu use and during open-air painting sessions. It dries and becomes hard ... like stone! When dry it becomes super light, you can store it wherever you want, even comfortably in your brush case.

Instructions for use:

Wet slightly before use. Place the brush on it after dipping it in water and color.

Wash after use to remove any color residue. Hardening once dry is normal and allows for better water absorption during the next use. For better cleaning of the palette, first squeeze the sponge slightly and then rub the surface of the palette. It is recommended to replace it after 6 months (variable individual use).
