The situation is out of control: the working class faces the collapse of the welfare system, capitalists see dwindling profits, the middle class is slowly disappearing, and the state is crushed by deficits. In this turbulent landscape, only you can take charge and steer the country toward a new equilibrium.

Hegemony is a competitive, asymmetric board game that uses a card system to deeply and realistically simulate a nation's entire socioeconomic ecosystem. Each player takes on the role of one of four social groups: Working Class , Middle Class , Capitalist Class , or State . Depending on your faction, you'll have completely different objectives, strategies, and actions than your opponents, creating unique dynamics in every game.

Throughout the game, you'll be able to propose motions to change laws to your advantage, seeking allies and managing inevitable opposition. Each legislative change dynamically alters the rules, forcing you to revise your strategies and pursue new political and economic compromises.

While the state seeks stability and legitimacy, capitalists accumulate profits, the working class struggles to improve collective prosperity, and the middle class fights for its independence. Only one faction can achieve hegemony and prevail over the others.

This edition also includes the Crisis & Control expansion, featuring the Automatons , the Alternate Events and Hidden Objectives mini-expansions, as well as 20 new Action cards , for even greater strategic depth.
