Hats

Board game in Italian. Duration: 20min Players: 2-5 Age: 14+

You have received a special invitation to five o'clock tea in the Mad Hatter's garden. The table is beautifully set, the biscuits are irresistibly buttery, and the tea has a strong, rich flavour.

“A little more sugar?” The Mad Hatter asks you with a strange look. “Yes, please…”

“Time’s up!” He interrupts you abruptly. Sugar, cookies, and a myriad of hats fly into the air. Tea spills onto the tablecloth as he says, with an indelible smile, “Time to start playing!”

In Hats you will have to exchange cards in your hand with those on the board to get the most advantageous collection possible, in order to accumulate the highest score at the end of the game. Interaction with the board is the strategic key of each game. There are several ways to get points.

1. Compare the hats in your collection with those on the board: for each hat that matches, you will earn the score relative to its position (for example, an orange hat is in position 4; you will get 4 points for each orange hat you own).

2. Add the values ​​of the cards in your collection of the same color as the card remaining in your hand and subtract the value of the latter.

3. Do you have a cookie in your hand? Then you will earn 5 points.

4. Do you have black hats? You will earn 1 point for each.

The player with the highest score at the end of the game will be the winner!

If there are four of you, you can play in pairs following the rules given in the rulebook.
