Four Against The Old Ones: Carcosa Rises is an expansion for Four Against the Great Old Ones that drags your investigations into a dimensional nightmare inspired by the Lovecraftian Myths, the disturbing visions of Robert W. Chambers, and the unsettling atmospheres of Ambrose Bierce. The King in Yellow awaits you, as the boundary between reality and madness begins to crumble.

The disturbances generated by the imminent Great Ritual are tearing the fabric of the world: familiar places are replaced by distorted versions from other dimensions, while the Pallid Mask acts in the shadows, manipulating events and contaminating the minds of the unsuspecting. And, amidst unsettling apparitions and mysterious presences, the group will have to discover who the strange, portly man is who seems to follow them at every step.

Carcosa Rises introduces new modular content to enrich the Four Against the Great Old Ones base game and make each game more varied, unpredictable, and charged with narrative tension. You can add a new Investigator Class, the Dreamer, explore three alternative versions of the locations in the base manual, tackle a new complete setting dedicated to Carcosa, and use three event tables to make travel even more dangerous.

This expansion also includes possible attacks by the Pallid Mask, the final encounter with the King in Yellow, and a Subterranean Temples generator, designed to create Lovecraftian-themed mini-dungeons and increase replayability. The elements of Four Against The Old Ones: Carcosa Rises can be freely combined with the material from the base game, allowing you to mix modules, encounters, and settings to experience ever-different adventures.
