Proven Contrary is a narrative and collaborative board game inspired by visual novels , TV series and video games with a judicial theme . Players take on the role of a promising young lawyer , still in his early stages, called upon to tackle complex criminal trials and demonstrate all his dialectical and investigative skills. Will you be able to help Peter defend his client and convince the jury?

During each turn, you read a Prosecution card and choose an Evidence to counter the prosecution's claims. The number of the selected Evidence is entered into the dedicated web app , which immediately displays the outcome of your choice. If the Evidence is correct, some jurors will side with you, allowing you to continue the trial; if it is incorrect, you risk losing support and will have to try a new strategy. Some Evidence can also generate personalized responses , increasing narrative engagement.

Pleading after pleading, the trial nears its conclusion, keeping the tension high and the group's attention. The final score will depend on the number of jurors who declare the defendant innocent , making every decision crucial and every game different from the last.
