We are at the end of the 19th century, in the heart of the famous War of the Bones.
In this tumultuous era, a fierce competition erupts between two giants of paleontology: Othniel Marsh and Edward Cope. The two scientists, driven by an unstoppable thirst for glory, challenge each other without holds barred to gain the primacy in the discovery of new species of dinosaurs. Espionage, sabotage, corruption and theft of fossils become common tools in their fight for scientific supremacy.

In this strategic game, players take on the role of paleontologists working for one of two legendary rivals — or, perhaps, motivated by personal interests — who are trying to outdo each other in the race for fame.

Through a clever use of action cards, to be placed strategically under their board, players can activate their team to excavate and bring to light precious fossils, or have their paleontologist act directly to publish studies, dismantle competing theories and obtain the most coveted academic awards.
