In ancient times, along the mighty Nile, the people flourished, and so did their deities. Monuments were erected to them and sacrifices were offered, and their power grew. But power could not be shared for long.
As, one by one, the deities are forgotten or unite, becoming new deities, a bloody war begins for control of the territory and the devotion of the people. Only one deity will emerge triumphant in this new era of monotheism. Who will be among them?

Ankh: Egyptian Gods is a competitive board game for 2-5 players , set in the fascinating setting of mythological Ancient Egypt , a time of religious transition from polytheism to monotheism . Each player takes on the role of an Egyptian deity with the goal of gaining enough Devotion to become the sole sovereign god of the kingdom.

To earn Devotion , players will need to conquer and control sacred Monuments and face other deities in intense strategic clashes for territorial dominance. The path to absolute divinity also requires collecting Followers , who can be sacrificed to erect new Monuments or to enhance their Ankh Powers .

As the game progresses, the balance of power will shift: Monuments may fall under the influence of rival deities, mysterious mythological Guardians will enter the fray to support the divine forces, and the regions of Egypt will be reshaped by the movement of camel caravans . In some cases, two deities may even merge into a single, more powerful divine entity. However, only one—or perhaps none—will emerge as the one true God of Egypt .
