Washes are the easiest and most effective way to add definition and depth to your miniatures. Applied over the base coat, darker pigments naturally flow into incisions and recesses, creating natural shadows that immediately bring out every detail. They also help to increase visual volume and give greater depth to details.

This new acrylic formula, designed for brush application, offers maximum control during application, allowing you to work the wash as you apply it and concentrate it in the desired areas. They can be used individually or combined with each other to obtain exactly the contrast and level of definition desired on different base tones.

In modeling and miniature painting (such as in Warhammer, D&D and similar games), the differences between shades, washes and contrast effect paints mainly concern consistency, behavior and final result on the miniature.

Washes have a more liquid consistency and a lower surface tension.
