"If you have to turn a car into a time machine, why not use a nice license plate!" (semi-quote)
Step by step, brick by brick, things grow at Warp Trader. Like this plaque. That wasn't there before and now shouts to the world: hey, we're here too!
It's been over a year now since I proposed to the unfortunate men and women around me the primordial idea of what would become a radical change in life, prospects and ambitions. "Listen, but from 1 to straitjacket how crazy do you think it would be if...".
Initially, reactions ranged from perplexity (the most benevolent) to panic from those who had already seen me make sudden impulsive moves. How could you blame them? The "Great, Brilliant, Ingenious Idea (TM)" imposed some not insignificant consequences. Leaving a job that, even if it didn't offer great prospects, still guaranteed a minimum of certainties. Abandoning a path that had kept me busy for more than ten years, in a sector for which I had studied and in which, with a fair amount of luck, I had even managed to work.
Details. By now I had gotten it into my head that I had to try. It was mandatory to try. In the end, what was so complex? Taking a step into the void in the hope of finding an invisible bridge like the one in Indy. A journey through time in search of a lucky sports almanac. A ride in the night, waiting to turn my gaze to the east, at dawn on the fifth day... Details, indeed.
Since then, the craziest, most difficult and thrilling adventure of my life has begun. Doubts? Lots. Second thoughts? Never. And every day that passes, that choice becomes more and more meaningful. Like this plaque. That wasn't there before and today, instead, simply is.
